CoolSense Applicator (weight: 90 g - length: 13 cm - diameter 4 cm) consists of an elegant plastic casing with a color-change thermometer attached to the external body and a specifically designed metal head pin.  CoolSense  has an inner plastic sleeve that contains a special alcohol formulation. The unit is provided with a plastic cover and sponge based reservoir to be filled with alcohol (70% concentration) which provides disinfection for the metal head prior to use. 

Method of Use: The CoolSense Applicator needs to be stored (40 minute's minimum) in a freezer compartment prior to use.  When required, CoolSense is removed from the freezer and the thermometer checked to verify that the temperature is not under minus - 4 °C and not over 0 °C degrees before use.  The moist metal head is then placed on the site of injection for no more than 4-5 seconds to temporarily numb the skin's surface and then the injection procedure can by painlessly carried out.    Depending on external climatic factors, CoolSense maintains its ideal numbing temperature for approximately 10 minutes after which time its cooling factor needs to be reactivated by replacing the CoolSense Applicator in a freezer compartment for approximately 20 minutes before reuse.
