Shamir Salads is recognized for its excellence and dependability. Our salads are found at all of Israel's food retail outlets, from family-run shops to national supermarket chains, and public institutions like hospitals, schools, and government-owned facilities. For years, we have serviced several food distribution routes for the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) and a number of other large enterprises.
Shamir Salads was founded in 1974 by the Drazin family as a small facility in Kefar-Ma'as, and grew rapidly through the years. It grew to become the leading company in the Mediterranean salads industry.
Considering the success and growth in marketing that required an expansion of its production line, Shamir Salads moved in 1988 to a 5,000 sq/m factory in the center.
In 1994, the company went public and continued to grow in the local markets with new developed products. At the same time, the company started the business abroad and exported the products all over the world. Ever since, our products being sold to Europe, Russia, USA and Canada.
In 2006, Jacob Ginzburg and Amiram Guy had purchased the company with its reputation and came up with a new plan, which includes different investments in researches, development, production, and marketing new products that have raised its sales. Likewise, the new owners had invested in innovation and improvement of the marketing arrangements.
The vision that is standing in front of Mr. Ginzburg and Mr. Guy is the continuation with the developing of new products. Moreover, the main interest is to become the leading company in the salads area as it was as the first founder.
In 2007, Willifood acquired 51% of Shamir Salads. Willifood is one of the leading companies in the food industry. Together they can reach to higher expectations.
Today, we have the ability to produce 700 tons a month and the capacity to deliver 1800 tons of salads via Three shifts.
Our advanced in-house laboratory performs regular and spot examinations to ensure that we maintain a high standard of quality surpassing the requirements of the Ministry of Health and ISO 900 2001 Quality System certifications.
