Hishtil is a leading, international and innovative plant-nurseries corporation. The organization specializes in the production and sale of transplants to professional growers of vegetables, herbs, cut flowers of flowering annuals and potted ornamentals to wholesale outlets in the Israeli market and abroad. Furthermore, Hishtil developed and supplies young plants for natural landscape restoration which have become compulsory in large scale infrastructure projects in Israel. The Company focuses on extending its international activities by relying on its expertise in the production of propagation material in areas of warm climates.

Hishtil's first nursery was established in summer 1974.

Currently, the Company consists of 5 nurseries in Israel (Nehalim, Ashkelon, Yedidiah, Afula and The Mountain nursery) spreading over  21 hectares of greenhouse production, and 4 joint ventured nurseries abroad - in Turkey, Italy, South Africa, Bosnia and Greece. 
The Hishtil chain of nurseries employs hundreds around the world and produces about one billion young plants every year, 80 million of which are grafted vegetable seedlings.
