Israel's location on the edge of the dessert, has always led to a scarcity of water supplies. This has contributed to the development of efficient water technologies, including desalination of sea water on a large scale, and recycling of waste water on an unprecedented scale, for agricultural purposes. Novel and unique technologies have become the norm, and can contribute to solutions in countries suffering from similar constraints.
