The pigeon removal system operates like an electrical cattle fence, but with a weak current which does not harm the pigeons. When a pigeon lands on the tape (which is taped on the locations where pigeons usually land), it closes an electrical circuit which delivers an unpleasant sensation, startles the bird and causes it to fly away never to return to that area.
